A Major Split Level Expansion
An addition to an existing home in Decatur, Ga. where we expanded the Living Room, Dining Room, Master Suite and Basement Rec. Room out twelve feet to the rear. A new Screen porch was also added to the back of the garage. This involved the design of an ingenious new roof layout to blend the new additions to the existing house without disturbing the front elevation of the house too much. The design started with the measuring of the existing home and putting it on CAD. From there we studied how to set up the new rooflines in order to cover the new spaces while allowing the rainwater to run off. The vaulted living room/dining room makes this 60’s split-level feel huge.
